Nina Guercio

Nina Guercio is a Human Resources professional with 20 years of experience in diversity and inclusion, training and development, and project management with a focus on the healthcare industry. She is passionate about addressing diversity, inclusion and the social determinants of health, which can impact access to care and health outcomes. She joined the CFA Board of Directors to expand her impact on food insecurity for New Yorkers.

Ms. Guercio is currently Director of Diversity and Inclusion at Atlantic Health System in Morristown, New Jersey. She develops, executes and manages targeted diversity and inclusion initiatives under the guidance of the Chief Talent & Diversity Officer. She directs and manages culturally effective and inclusive healthcare programs, processes and policies that benefit team members and patients. She works collaboratively with cross-functional partners including Human Resources, Corporate Social Responsibility, Community Health, Marketing & Communications, and ISS. Major initiatives include oversight of an interpreter training program that provides a pathway for team members to become qualified medical interpreters, and nine Business Resource Groups led by team members who do internal programming and community outreach to promote inclusion and engagement. Prior to Atlantic Health, Ms. Guercio served in various Human Resources roles at New York-Presbyterian Hospital from 2003 to 2022.

Ms. Guercio is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She has chaired several committees to execute public programs and services including Scholarship, Delta Academy (a STEM program for middle school girls), and Physical & Mental Health.

Ms. Guercio received a MA in Social-Organizational Psychology at Columbia University, Teachers College and a BA from Brown University. In addition, she holds an Advanced Certificate in Diversity & Inclusion from Cornell University.
