Claudia Dymond

Claudia Dymond has more than 25 years’ experience in nonprofit development. Her expertise includes fundraising and event planning for food and nutrition, housing and community economic development, mental health, violence intervention, and religious organizations.

Ms. Dymond is the Manager for Institutional Giving at the East Harlem Tutorial Program. Prior to that she was the Development Consultant for St. John’s Episcopal Church in Bangor, ME (her hometown) where she raised funds to repair the church’s tower and portico, and at the Violence Intervention Program, Inc., in New York City, which provides crisis counseling, advocacy, and support for survivors of domestic and sexual violence. She had been the Director of Development at CAMBA, a Brooklyn-based organization that serves New Yorkers in need, and at Pathways to Housing, a national organization that provides housing and support to formerly homeless individuals with mental health issues. She was the first development staff person hired at Community Food Resource Center and created its development department.

In addition to the CFA Board of Directors, Ms. Dymond has served on the Board of her co-op and has been a literacy volunteer and mentored students of color through the alumni association at her alma mater, Williams College.

Ms. Dymond received an MS in Urban Policy Analysis and Management from the New School Milano School of Policy, Management and Environment and a BA in History from Williams College. She resides in Brooklyn with her partner.
